After all the last thing you would want to cause is more harm to it than helping it be removed from your skin. We look at some of the home remedies that you can use and they are listed below.

Using apple cider vinegar

This can be one of the quickest ways to remove skin tags safely from home. You can soak a swab of cotton in apple cider vinegar and place the same over the skin tag. Using a bandage, you can wrap the affected area and leave it for about 10 – 15 minutes.

After removing the bandage, you can rinse wash the area with soap and water and leave it to dry. The acidic properties of the apple cider vinegar break the tissue that is surrounding the affected area and cause it to fall off. You can repeat the process daily for 2 weeks for the skin tag to be removed or fall off.

Using garlic

Garlic is known for its medicinal properties and has various uses including the removal of a skin tag. Crush the garlic and use it on the area that has skin tag and apply a bandage to it and leave it overnight. You can repeat the same until the skin tag can shrink and eventually disappear completely.

Tea tree oil

A few drops of tea tree oil can be used along with a cotton swab and have it affixed to the skin with a bandage. You can leave it on the skin for about 10 minutes and repeat the process for up to three times a day. It may take a few days for the tag to fall off the skin when using this method.

These three methods that are mentioned above are natural and mostly do not have any adverse effects. However, if you are a person with sensitive skin it may be advised that you use petroleum jelly or Vaseline around the affected area to ensure that the other parts of the skin are not affected. There are also other methods such as using a string, freezing kit, skin tag removal cream, and a tag removal device. Always remember that most home remedies are anecdotal and are not approved and may not work for people with certain skin types. It is always better to consult a dermatologist in these cases for the safe removal of a skin tag that bothers you.
